Treats from Spain

These were supposed to be mine and I don't think I ever wore them once and they are already spread around the house somewhere.
Mommy has to sew this dress up a little. too much cleavage for a little princess :)
Sneak peek at Halloween

Carter was a little scared to be woken up by these crazy kiddos. But they sure were excited to see him. I think more excited to see him than me!
Sis with all her treats, and mine too.

while Momma's away...

... the big kids will play. And be spoiled and loved on and have lots of fun. I have to say things couldn't have gone any better. Prayers were answered big time. People would say "I can't believe you're taking a three month old to Spain." My response was "I've never thought twice about Carter, its leaving my "big" kids for 11 days that I'm stressing about."  I kept myself awake at night worrying about these two (and the sanity of whoever would be watching them). I never realized just how much time I have the kids by myself until I have to find someone to fill my shoes. When Beverly said she could watch them, I was excited because they knew her and were used to her. With Jen set to cover one day to give Beverly a break, we were all set. I have to say I was a little worried with Caleb testing his limits to see what he could get away with. But they let him know early on who was in charge. Despite one major fit, Caleb locking Jen in his room and acting out a little bit at school, it sounds like everything went really well. With Zoo trips, TCBY, CC's pizza, chick fil A and a lots of Daddy time, I think these kiddos were fine without me. In fact, I only Skyped with them a few times because they were always to busy for Mom!!! I couldn't thank Tyler, Beverly and Jen enough for taking care of my "big" kids. Everything was going so well while I was gone, I really was able to enjoy my trip and not worry about what was happening at home.

Here are some pictures Beverly sent me while I was gone.

I swear they grew up way too much while I was gone. I came home and thought I'd been gone a year with how big they had gotten. It took all I had not to run in their rooms and wake them up when I got home. But I was woken up bright and early with big hugs and lots of cuddles the next morning. Man I sure missed those kiddos!!

Segovia

After two full days in Madrid, we were looking for a fun day trip to do on our last day in Spain. After someone suggested Segovia, we hopped on a train and headed out to this Medieval city.

This was the collest and most interesting marry go round I've ever seen. We took pictures to show Caleb and Kennedy.
I know which one Caleb would want to ride!
Dianna had a vision, it just didn't quite turn out.
Up and down the hily climbs of Segovia with Aunt Lynnie stopping to take pictures behind us.
Up at the top where the castle was.
Cool tapestry of Spain in the castle
Medieval castle in Segovia. After a couple palace this was a totally different feel than what we've seen before.
In the dungeon where they belong!
It would be awesome if someone hide in there and popped out at people!
View of Segovia from the castle
These nests were on top of the trees! You could only see them from on top of the bell tower.
The aqueducts that went through the city.
 This shirt cracked me up
 MiMi's stroller arm workout
 Mom being mom.
Yes very disturbing! Just what I want to see to lure me into a restaurant!!

Segovia was a very great way to end our trip. It was a neat little townwe were so glad we went to explore!
