Azaleas in bloom

This is how most of my pictures turned out. A blur running off
He just looks sooo big in this one
I LOVE our backyard!!

crawfish festival

We were so excited to hear about the crawfish festival in Memphis. Neither of us have had any all year and were really looking forward to some. When we got there we found out it was $15 for a bucket that couldn't have been 2 pounds. So we split one bucket and just got a little taste. While we were at it we gave Caleb his first taste of crawfish. He spit out the first one and then when we tried again he ate it. But made the funniest face. I totally missed getting a picture of it.

Kelli's baby shower and Rhythms on the River

Last week we were in Lafayette for Kelli's baby shower. She is due June 14th with a little girl, Millie Evangeline. I did good taking pictures before the shower but didn't get any during or after. So there are no people or present in my pictures. Oh well that's why there were other people taking pictures. I get caught up and forget :) But it turned out really nice and Millie will be the most stylish baby in Katy.

Easter

The Easter Bunny went a little crazy this year but that's what happens when you pick up a little here and a little there. This Easter we introduced some new "traditions".
We made Resurrection Eggs at MOPS that help to tell the Easter story in a fun hands on way.
We also made Resurrection Buns for breakfast. The marshmallow represents Jesus, white for His purity. You wrap the marshmallow in the "tomb" and after you bake it it is gone. The "tomb" is empty. I like this idea to help explain the reason we celebrate Easter to younger children. Obviously Caleb didn't get it but he will.

CUMC Egg hunt

This morning we went to Christ United Methodist's Easter Egg hunt. This is the church Caleb and I go to MOPS every other Thursday. Caleb had a great time! At first he would get one egg for each hand and then when he found other ones he'd put them down and grab two more. But he started putting them in his basket. Of course he had to shake everyone first. After a few minutes he just wanted to play. He'd go down the slide or play on the toys and then get back to egg hunting.

Tyler holding him back!
I wish I had this picture from the front because you can tell he's smiling soo big! Like he hit the jackpot!

Take a break to play for a minute! This one looks like Caleb popped out an egg! :)

The slide was a hit! Head first of course!

Caleb also loved just running as fast as he could through all the eggs kicking them everywhere. Most of the times this ended with him slipping on an egg and busting it. Then laughing like crazy and doing it again! :)
We had a great time but doing this blog I'm reminded that I need to start handing the camera off to Tyler so it looks like I was around when all these fun things were happening! For the record Caleb, I was always there even though there is not much evidence to prove it :)
