final egg hunt of Easter 2012

Before we left to spend Easter in Lexington, I told mom her MiMi duties were to see if her church had an egg hunt on Saturday for the kids. Most of the ones in Memphis were Easter weekend and we were going to miss them. She was excited to find out theirs was on Saturday and she headed to the dollar store for eggs and candy to drop off at the church. So here's our last and final egg hunt of Easter 2012.

We went to breakfast with the Easter bunny first and the kids (and MiMi) were hard at work on their Easter crafts.
Kennedy was not very excited about the Easter bunny. But Caleb was on a mission to make sure the bunny knew to bring his treats to MiMi's house and not his.
Save me MiMi Save me!!
This is Trina. She's a couple days younger than Caleb. Her mom Kristal teaches classes at the Y that my mom does. Mom was waiting to hear about Kristal having Trina when she came down when Caleb was born. She was due before me but because Caleb came early she ended up having her after me. I love all Kristal's Trina stories on Facebook. Her and Caleb are two peas in a pod. They were waiting so patiently for the egg hunt! I don't think these two have ever stayed this still and quiet for so long!

Oh how deceiving is this picture!!!
Enough with the egg hunting, they wanted to play!!!

Garden Club Egg hunt

I know I've said it before but we LOVE our neighborhood. There are kids always running around playing outside. We've met so many great friends and there's always something fun going on. I have already said that it will be REALLY hard to replace this neighborhood, especially the Charlotte circle square, when we move. Thank goodness that won't be anytime soon. We tries to round all the kids up for a group picture but some didn't quite make it, Caleb being one of them.
Not sure why Sis was fussnig probably had something to do with the hundreds of eggs she was really to attack.

All the kids lined up ready to stampede the backyard.
In one of the eggs, Caleb found a bunny stamp. That bunny stamp ended up in the trash after I found stampings all over the walls. I wasn't too worried with it being all over the kids they will wash off. And I was really surprised it took a couple days for it to end up on the walls!
The ice cream truck came and sold treats at the Easter Egg hunt. Lisa didn't want Emery having the sponge bob pop cycle because it was really messes so Kennedy ended up with it! And she was a MESS! All the other moms laughed and thought it was funny but once again were glad it wasn't their child. That happens a lot with my kids :)  I am pleased to report that it did all come out and very easily.

Thanks Stephanie for the great pics!!

Fun times with Nanner

We were blessed once again to have Dianna live with us for a few months. Right around when Caleb turned one she lived with us before she started her around the world and back escapes. After she finished up her year in South Korea and was doing her around the world 8 month trip, she asked if she could live with us for a little bit when she got back. The timing couldn't have been more perfect because we were expecting baby number 3 and knew that we would need all the help we could get. At first she was staying until August, then it turned to June and was pushed up a couple times until she left last week. With the craziness of our house, she hit the road running and screaming. Not really, after leaving  her job a little earlier, she is now in Shreveport spending time with Dad and her friends before she moves across the country. We loved spending time with her and I will forever be grateful for all her help and support. She may have taught Caleb some not so nice phrases (like Scoundrel, scalawag and cottenheadedninnymuggin) but we love her anyway. Caleb and Kennedy miss their Nanner but are excited they will see her soon. Carter doesn't know the difference but I'm sure he misses snuggling with her.

Dianna was stuck in finals for Caleb's birth, Skyped in from South Korea for Kennedy's and was bound and determined to be at Carter's.

I will never be able to hear Nicky Minage without thinking of the many dance parties!
Video will be added soon...

We love you Nanner!!!
