This explains the rattling noise coming from the kitchen.

Easter Egg hunt #1

Caleb had his 1st Easter egg hunt (1st official one since he was so little last year) down the street at a neighbor's house today. I learned an important lesson. Don't show up a couple minutes late for an Easter egg hunt or all the eggs will be gone :) Oh well this was good practice for a big one next weekend. Caleb didn't care and the two he found were, of course, LSU colors. So I was very proud.

Look at those curls!! And yes that is why we were late. I was trying to fix my 15 month old's hair!! :)

Bodyslamming Bunny

This sweet cuddly picture of Caleb and the bunny is so not what it seems! As you will see from the video, Caleb was showing that bunny who's boss! This kid constantly makes me laugh!

And now I'm finished with bunny! MiMi's poor bunny!

Caleb usually Superman jumps over his chair and rolls onto the floor. But this time his chair was just a little bit further away from the couch so he missed and just fell in between.

And Caleb finally discovered the doggy door! I knew it was just a matter of time because he's been trying to fit through it and put his hands through it for a while now.

Swing

Since the weather has been nice we ventured out and got Caleb's swing. They actually were sold out at 2 different places we looked and he almost ended up with a pink one! (Tyler's idea, not mine) but as we were going to check out they brought out a new pack of blue swings! Watching Tyler try to get the rope in the tree was quite amusing.

We decided to color this morning. It went really well for a little bit until he was bored with it and bit the tip off the crayons. Then decided to climb onto the table. Maybe next time.

Boys will be boys!!

You can try to fight it or you can just let a boy be a boy! After one attempt to keep him out of the muddy puddle, I just gave up and let him at it! He was having way to much fun to stop him. I have a feeling this is a preview into a whole summer full of messy/ dirty fun! And skinned knees. I try to keep pants on him because he gets running so fast and trips himself on the back patio. But I put away most of his pants except a few good ones and I knew better than to let him outside in those. The funny thing is he fell, got up and kept on playing. It wasn't until I was cleaning him up that I even noticed he scrapped his knee.

Shreveport

The last stop of our month long road trip, Shreveport. We had a great time but are glad to be home and not going anywhere for a while, well at least not for 3 more weeks.

Papa and Nina came up to visit for the afternoon. Caleb is crazy about his Papa!
The squeals and laughs coming from both of them was just priceless!!
We were excited we were able to catch one of Cooper's soccer games while we were there. Caleb wanted out there so bad.
It was really funny watching Caleb chase around Dyson and Cooper all weekend. He thinks he's as big as they are and really looks up to them already. One of these days he'll be able to run around and keep up with them.
Wait for me!!!
Cooper was Mr. All Star. He scored 4 goals. Tyler and I were so impressed with how good he was. We weren't surprised at all, we always knew he'd be a little athlete.
And he's off, goal #4
My future All Star
Riding in the Hummer with Cooper. He kept dancing to the radio.
Swimming in Pops and Annie's hot tub. I sure wish we were going to be there this summer. This is one thing we definitely miss!!! Caleb loved it.

Little Rock

The last month we have been logging some major miles on the road. We went to Little Rock a couple weekends ago for Tyler, Ted, Todd and Jennifer to run the marathon relay. Plus we got to visit with some long lost med school friends! We were all excited when we matched only 2 hours away from each other and its taken 9 months to actually get together!

Caleb playing in the fish tank at the Nature Center
Harper was trying to tame Caleb's hair! She was so sweet and loved playing with crazy Caleb. It really is amazing the difference in a 2 year old girl and a 1 year old boy! Harper is so calm and quiet and we all know how Caleb is. Neither of those words describe him, in fact he's the extreme opposite! But they really had a blast playing together.
Already busting them hiding out in the tent together!
Waiting for the ducks at Peabody to "march" into the fountain.
The race wore him out
Waiting for Momma, she was the last leg of the relay.
The Auschwitz boys
The team finished in just over 5 hours. I am so proud of all of them. They have really gotten into running and are doing really well! I can't wait to get to start running with them again.
Caleb entertaining himself with chop sticks at lunch. MiMi taught him this trick. Whatever keeps him busy and some what quiet works for me!
