House arrest

We are finally getting over all the nasty little viruses we were passing around. You name it we had it the last couple weeks: stomach bug, flu and RSV. All within about 2 weeks. We really had mild cases of everything and the kids were big time troopers through it all. But the worst part was, we were stuck in the house to avoid passing on the germs. Here are some videos and pictures of us entertaining ourselves while stuck at home.
Daddy texted and ask how they were feeling. And this is what I texted back :( This was right in the middle of his flu. Right before bedtime.
Kennedy thought the thermometer was a sucker. Thank goodness she never got the fever.
Sitting in her tub like a big girl
Just chilaxin'
Caleb loves playing with my phone. He can see himself on the it while it is filming him and he will laugh and act silly. These are just a few of the ones I have of him playing with the video camera.
Kennedy is slowly starting to crawl. She goes a little at a time and then gives up and rolls like a little roly poly. Every day she gets better and better.

Caleb was filming himself playing hide and seek with Maria. I did not even know these videos were on my phone until I was uploading pictures this morning. There are many many more that were with these!!

I just love watching these two play together! Kennedy will just laugh and smile at Caleb. Daddy had to add a little something to this video! Thanks a lot!!
Caleb loves singing and this was him reading/ singing "If you're happy and you know it"

"Momma I paint" He found finger nail polish.
Our first outing after all this was to the Y. Caleb and Mommy both had workout classes. This is what Caleb wanted to wear. His jammies and "Doots". We were so glad to get out of the house i didn't care what he had on!! And Caleb never took a paci but for some reason this morning, he found one and wanted to bring it with him.
Needless to say we found ways to entertain ourselves and we are very glad to be out from under house arrest and everyone feeling much better. It is still early but hopefully we are done for this cold and flu season!

Last Little Gym

Caleb had his last Little Gym class. This was their "show" where they showed off all the skills. they'd been learning all semester.
Here are some pictures and videos: Warning there's a lot.
Doing the group warm up:

Ready Set Jump
"Dye Dye Momma!"

Hurry up Jacob!
Ladies man already
I don't think you fit!

Get his medal

Snow Day

We had some snow flurries on Christmas Day but this was our first real snow for the year. I thought I was all prepared. We had a pair of snow boots and a pair of rain boots, hats, gloves (not waterproof!) and even a snowsuit! So when we saw it coming now the night before I laid everything out and was ready for a fun day in the snow. It didn't quite happen that way. After 30 minutes of getting dressed (surprisingly Caleb let me put it all on him), I still couldn't get the boots on (either pair) all the way. Caleb was done trying and grabbed some insulated croc doggy shoes. I figured they would work for a little while. Well they worked just long enough to walk all the way around the block play for about 5 minutes and then one fell off! Now his foot and shoes are covered in snow. He's screaming and refusing to put the shoe back on. I'm holding Kennedy and trying to carry him back around the block to our house. Well there goes playing in the snow with all the neighbors!
Here are a couple pictures before the melt down!
So when Daddy got home we were able to get the boots on and out we went to build a snowman.
And throw a few snowballs!
My phone died so I'll have to add the final pictures of our snowman when I get them from Tyler's phone. It was kind of a half attempt at a snowman which ended up naked with no props. It was getting late and dinner time! :) Tyler didn't want pictures because it wasn't quite up to his standards!

The princess is 6 months old

Kennedy is officially half way to a year old! Where has the time gone! Everywhere we go people are constantly commenting on how pretty she is. Well we all knew that! :) Part of it is her big grin she'll give just about anyone who shows her attention, part of it is her cheeks always have a hint of pink in them which makes her look like a little baby doll and part of it is just how happy and content she always is!
She is just about sitting on her own. Every day she is more and more sturdy. She still rocks all around. She loves rolling and scooting all over the floor so a lot of times she falls over to get on her belly to move around.
You never know where she'll be or what she'll be into after a couple minutes rolling around on the floor.
6 month check up
19 lbs 1.5 oz (95th percentile)
26.5 " (75th percentile)
She is holding up the tradition of staying close to the top of the charts in weight and height!
"Oh no did she say shots! :( "
Kennedy is a trooper and one tough little cookie! She will hold her own with Caleb and lets him know when she doesn't like what he's doing. One of these days she's going to be big enough to get him back. But she loves him and smiles so big when she sees him coming to play with her! We think God sent down one of his own personal angels when he blessed us with her! We love you so much little Princess!

Rest of Shreveport visit

Playing with the Geese at Papa K and KK's house. I'd fly away too if I could if this kid came running at me! :)
Putting on KNae's boots to go outside and see the Geese
I have gone to the Independence Bowl for like 20 years straight until caleb was born. We didn't go to the game but we did go tailgate for a little bit.
watching the Air Force band play. Caleb loved the drums.
Getting our Superior fix. Kennedy decided since she couldn't have any she'd just sleep through it.
Playing dress up with the cousins
The box Pop's new TV came in quickly became entertainment for the boys! It sure kept them busy all day!!
Blaize and Mrs. Cindy stopped by to visit and to meet Kennedy. We were so glad to get to see them! Blaize has just gotten so big and he fit right in playing with all the other boys.
Over all we had another great trip back home. Even Tyler said when we got back to Memphis, that being home just reminds him of how much we miss everyone! It is nice to get back and settled into our routine but there's nothing like being with family and watching all the kids play together. Julie and Jennifer: hopefully its not another 2 years before we can all get together!!!

I guess this is the last Blog for 2010. So this will officially end by 2010 Blog Book!! It has been an amazing year full of many blessings and lots of great memories! We are ready for all the exciting things 2011 has in store for us!!
