Preparing for Christmas

No I don't have Caleb's yet. We used the 1st Christmas one last year so I have to order his for this year! I just can't make up my mind on which one he's getting.
My Willow Tree Manger scene YaYa gave us for my birthday!
Caleb decided that Claire's present looked like a fun jungle gym. We will see how many of these presents stay wrapped come Christmas day.
The carebears on the bottom of the tree were made for me by Aunt Myra. They have always gone on the bottom of the tree so we could play with them. Caleb had them on our tree for 5 minutes and here's what happened to them!
And then they went swimming!!
My dad has always given us an angel every Christmas and he hoped for a boy to give an elf too. This was Caleb's 1st elf from last year.
We were so excited to go to the Zoo Christmas lights. But once we got there we were so disappointed in what they had done. They didn't really have many lights at all. We are so used to the great Zoo Lights in Alexandria that we were really let down. But we had fun anyway and then we went to Outback and watched LSU beat Arkansas.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was one to be remembered. It was a kids only, no parents allowed Thanksgiving. We had the three Antee sisters, Tyler, Caleb and Gabe. Gabe works with Tyler and was on call the night before Thanksgiving so he joined us for dinner. This was my first time "hosting" any holiday celebration. So I was excited to get to do all the cooking.

Tyler fried the turkey.
I didn't get a picture fast enough before the appetizers were gobbled up. Food doesn't last long around the Antee sisters. But it was Nina's Christmas Broccoli dip and cream cheese with pepper jelly and wheat thins.
Pre-dinner football game with Tyler, Gabe and the puppies.
Standing around the turkey, testing ever 2 minutes to see if its done yet. I think the boys just liked sticking the turkey with the thermometer.
You would think all Tyler and Gabe's time in surgery would help when cutting up the turkey but I guess its just a little different. It was quite the sight to see but it turned out so yummy!!
Tiger and Gracie even got some Thanksgiving turkey.
Here was our Thanksgiving feast! You would've thought we were cooking for 20 but it was just 6 1/2. Dianna made enough Mac and Cheese to feed an army!Left overs to last a month!
This is for MiMi. Caleb's 1st taste of Veg al Casserole. I wasn't even going to make it but Kendall insisted.
Superman!!
This outfit was one of my step brother's, John Toler who is now in 7th grade. :) We have some really cute ones that Kathryn, "KK", passed down to Caleb.
Relaxing after we stuffed ourselves.

Fall Fun

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Things got kind of busy or I just got lazy one of the two :)

We went with the Helms family to the Botanical Gardens Big Backyard. Caleb loved it!! He did not want to leave when it was time to go. I have a feeling we will be going there quite a bit when he gets a little bigger!!
Exploring all the leaves in our backyard
"I love you!!"

LSU vs. Ole Miss game in Oxford
Despite the debacle of a game, we had a good time. We were really excited Papa came to the game with us, even though we felt terrible he powered through it! And we were very thankful of Katie for watching Little Man so we all could go to the game. I know he had fun playing with her all day.LSU fans are the greatest!! You never know what you're going to get :)
