We are in trouble now!!

Two days ago it was one step, yesterday 3-4, and today he was taking 6-7 and stopping and balancing in the middle of them. I think I only have a couple days left before he takes off running!! And yes I had to bribe him with the lens cap to get him to stay standing. He was tired and ready to go to bed but Mommy had to get a picture to add to the post! Crazy I know. Off to bed we are going! So grouchy!!
Sorry they are so dark. They didn't look that dark when we took them. Tyler did it, blame it on him :)

Mommy Wow I'm a big boy now!!!

Halloween Fun!

Normandy Meadows Phantom came and brought Caleb some treats!!
Caleb has discovered Dora! He has only watched TV a handful of times so far but this little girl has some magical powers. She can actually slow Caleb down and make him sit still and watch her (now it may be for only a couple minutes)! When this kids awake he is constantly playing! So I am amazed by Dora's hypnotic powers.
Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo
(on a side note: I did not take this picture because I ran screaming for the exit when I saw that monster! I'm sorry to the kids I plowed over with the stroller as I was trying to escape! Any room with a monster snake free to roam around like this one should include a warning at the entrance!! Any room with snakes period! Can you tell I am deathly afraid of snakes especially ones that massive!! Thank goodness he didn't think Caleb looked tasty! Oh chills just looking at this picture!)

Getting closer!!

Neighborhood Halloween party

Cutest little monkey ever!!

I've been saving these pictures to post once it got a little closer to Halloween but since I posted the party pictures I had to post a couple of these too. This is just a sneak peek of what's to come on his birthday invitation! I'm actually sending some of them out this week to the out of town people. I know I'm ahead of the game but they are so cute I just can't wait anymore! My rational is that people from out of town have to make travel arrangements so that's my excuse for sending them early. Even though everyone from out of town already knows about it and has already made their plans.
Some of the kids we could round up for a picture. Caleb's more into the ground than the pictures.
One tired little boy! But it was worth missing a nap to have fun with all my friends.

latest tricks

We have a small problem. Caleb has become friends with his monkey pinata. You know the one that is supposed to be filled with candy and busted into pieces at his birthday party. Every time you get Caleb out of his bed, he waves at monkey. So now I think monkey will be used as decoration and promptly be put back on top of the dresser after the party to watch over little man as he sleeps. How sad would Caleb be if he went to wave at monkey and he wasn't there. :)
We have been working on signing "more" and I was one proud Momma when all of a sudden Caleb started clapping. At first I just thought he was clapping for me but then I realized his cookie was gone and he was trying to tell me he wanted another one. He learned really fast, "If I clap my hands together, Momma will smile get really excited and give me another cookie! Man this is easy" As Kendall pointed out, he is definetly an Antee.

OK so while I was deciding between the Super Man or Spider Man vintage T's, Dianna was doing this to my little man!! I should have known when I heard her giggling from behind the rack!! His look says it all!

Dog or baby???

Toilets, trash cans, eating off the floor!! Am I raising a baby or a puppy?!? I'm starting to see the similarities!! :)
Busted!! Last week I wrote about my habit of letting the dogs clean up Caleb's mess. Well Caleb got wind of this plan and decided to take care of it himself!
Sunbathing by the window a regular occurrence. I know I have a picture of Tiger sunbathing by the window but of course I can't find it.
The dogs DESPERATELY needed a bath. I hate to admit they hadn't had one since we moved here (and honestly who knows how long before the move). And after two late nights with no baths (dinner with Papa K and his refs and watching the LSU game), Caleb needed one bad this day.

(Yes we cleaned the tub after the dogs bath!!)
And like Lindsey mentioned on Louisiana Livin', Caleb has also found the toilet! Oh gag! I don't have a cute picture like she does to show but have been completely grossed out by this new discovery!
I forgot the best on of all! The trash can!! I actually had a picture of him digging in the trash can but of course right as I took it he sat down and crawled away! Oh well next time.

Monster face

I don't know what it is with these Auschwitz boys and the "monster face"!!
Caleb just started making this crazy face and it took me back a couple years when Jack was around his age and he made the same face. As I was looking through old pictures to find one of Jack I also found one of Cooper!
Someone hand these kids a mirror and so they can see how silly they look!!
So funny!

CFO Referee Papa k

Papa K came to town to ref a University of Memphis game.Caleb and Papa K watching some football.
Getting ready for Papa K's game.

10 months

10 months ago my little angel made his grand arrival and hasn't slowed down a minute since! I know every month I get on and say how amazing he is and how much he has just changed my world but it really is so true. I can never get enough hugs and kisses! One day when he can finally talk he is going to say "Stop it Mommy!!" so until then I am getting all I can! I posted on facebook one day that my days can now be measured by how many times he makes me say or think "God I love this child". I'm telling you I am in some serious trouble because he already has me (and anyone else who's been around him) in the palm of his little chubby hands!! Caleb charmed the nice man in line behind us at Walmart yesterday by giving him some of his great big smiles. I just love to watch him interact with other people and how they just light up when he gives them one of his big grins (that now includes two teeth!!) This child has the gift to light up the room with his big grin and happy squeals! He is my social butterfly and oh so nosey!!
