Christmas

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year despite all the craziness that comes with it. It is full of traditions, family, fun and lots of food! We were very grateful that Tyler was off for Christmas and we were able to make our rounds to see most of the family. We started at Papa K and KK's then headed to Pops and Annie's then down to Alexandria for Christmas with the Antee's. This was probably the last Christmas for awhile that we will be able to travel so we tried to cover as many bases as possible. Christmas night we were glad to be home so we could unpack, clean the house, wash clothes and rest a couple days before packing again and leaving for Disney.

Caleb spending some time with GG Buzz. Doesn't he just look way to old in this picture!!
Caleb and Daddy playing with cousins, Cooper and Dyson
Caleb loves his Papa!! Please notice how much of that ice cream Papa gave him before Mommy came and put it up!!
Caleb got such a kick out of running back and forth in the hallway!
Christmas jammies from GG Buzz aka MiMi
This little angel will never miss out on love or attention!!
Caleb entertained everyone all Christmas morning! He was just so excited!! I have always said he was a ham but he was hamming it up full force!! Anytime anyone opened a present he'd start clapping and cheering would ring out all over the room!
I love it when he just runs up and gives me a hug and then goes back to play! Its like he's just checking in to make sure I'm still there.
Dianna and Kendall playing with Caleb's gift from Santa!

1st haircut!

After putting it off as long as possible, it was finally time! We waited until we went back to Shreveport, so our favorite hair dresser, Shelly, could give Caleb his 1st haircut! He actually did really well. We kept him distracted with puffs and combs. And yes as you can tell from the pictures Mommy got her hair done too! Just a little touch up!
My baby boy is so not a baby anymore!!

Checking out the cars apron
Caleb kept taking the combs out of Shelly's hands. But they kept him still so we let him have them.
Puffs and combs kept him still while she chopped away all his sweet baby hair!
It looks much better but man he looks so big now!

Lights, Caroling and Santa

As I'm sitting here listening to Caleb in the living room squealing and playing with the puppies I have to just go back to last year at this time!! What a sweet little angel!! Now I hear myself repeating the phrase my aunts and grandparents used to say all the time "You are just growing up way too fast!!" Papa where's that brick you used to put on our heads to slow us down?? Obviously it didn't work but I've got to try something!!
This was Starry nights at Shelby Farms. From what we hear, they haven't done this for awhile and we now see why everyone was so excited it was back again. We loved it!
The families on our little block get together and go caroling. We were so excited when we got the invitation because it sounded like so much fun and it was even bigger than we thought it would be. There were about 10 different families and tons of kids!! After we went caroling we went back for cookies, hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows!! Yummy!! Have I mentioned lately how much we love our neighborhood, especially the Charlotte circle square!
Caleb in his new wagon from MiMi!
The Semmes Murphy Neurosurgery Clinic had a Christmas party for their families with Santa, food, face painting and a magician!! Caleb wasn't too fond of Santa but he really enjoyed the magician. Caleb clapped the whole time, even if he hadn't done anything yet!

Death grip on Daddy!
We didn't get a full out screaming picture but here's what we got.
Even with Mom and Dad, he's still not too sure!
We are wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! We hope 2010 brings you all many blessings and lots of wonderful memories!!

Christmas with MiMi

MiMi and K-Nae came to celebrate Christmas with us. Caleb had a ball throwing everyone's presents all around, thank goodness none were breakable! And he loved using all the big boxes as climbing tools!

I love this one! It caught him in all his mischievious glory!
"I'm king of the world!!!" Anyone who's been around Caleb knows the yell that came with this picture!
Caleb's wagon from MiMi!! He wouldn't even let us finish putting it together before he was trying to push it around the house!

Caleb is 1!!

Happy birthday my sweet angel!!!!!
I went with the monkey theme. Its not very creative or original but for our little guy, it is very appropriate!!
Are my friends here yet?!?
Caleb loved digging threw all the tissue paper!
I love this 1st birthday tradition!! The bigger the mess, the better!!
Now its pinata time!!
We had one tired birthday boy!!!
The party was perfect! We had lots of food, fun, friends and family!! Caleb had a ball playing with all his friends! It was so funny watching all the little ones just playing like crazy! Thank you to everyone who helped Caleb celebrate his big day!
