When looking around to see what egg hunts we could do, they were all falling on Easter weekend when we would be in Lexington. So I was excited to find out about this one in Germantown. Pops and Annie were in town visiting so they were able to come watch all the fun. It worked out perfectly that Caleb's soccer was first and then we could drive straight to the park for the egg hunt. Caleb wasn't too pumped about soccer because he was ready to go find some eggs! When we pulled up to the park we quickly saw this was a big ordeal! They had the petting zoo (the same one that came to Caleb's birthday party), bouncies, the Easter bunny and of course lots of eggs. The line was too long for the Easter bunny or the bouncies so we just played in the firetruck and with the animals until it was time to hunt!!
Carter was super pumped about his first Easter egg hunt.
Kennedy's hunt was up first and she was ready! When the lady blew the horn she was off and running! It was funny because she was choosy with what eggs she got. She would walk right past a bunch to get a specific one. Caleb ended up doing the same thing on his hunt. Picky little kids!!
Next up was Caleb's hunt.
Daddy was coaching Caleb on the best plan of attack.
Our friends the Parishes were right next to us and we didn't even noticed until the hunt was over. We really really focused! That's Aly in the videos by Caleb and her dad and brother, Asher standing at the fence.
He had to shake every egg to make sure something was in it. But there
were prize eggs with a paper slip in them, so its funny to think he may
have thrown down a prize egg bc it didn't sound like it had anything in
it.

Carter is still super pumped about all the action :) But he looked really cute!
We had a great time. Caleb and Kennedy were pro egg hunters. We laughed at how fast the 3-4 year olds cleared out that field. We stood and waited and waited for them to blow the horn and the whole field was cleared off in no longer than 2 minutes! Then it was time to play on the playground. Of course Caleb finds the one puddle and is soaked. Tyler said the moms all sitting around thought it was so funny. But you know they were thinking "Thank God that's not my kid" Oh well, he just road home in his underroos. He'd rather be naked anyway!! :) Happy Hunting!!!
