February 4- Carter's Bday

Saturday February 4th, we were just hanging around. Tyler and Dianna were about to go on a run and right before they left I showed Dianna how I was having a contraction and my whole stomach was cramping up. Not really thinking anything of it they left for a run and while they were gone I was having a lot of contractions and started timing them. When they got back i told Tyler I thought we should probably go to the hospital because they were around 3 minutes apart. So we called Stephanie Hubbard to see if she could watch the big kids for us and we loaded up and headed to the hospital.
This is what Caleb came out in when we told him to go get dressed.

Stephanie sent us a picture of the kids and told us they were doing great. Caleb was so excited to go on this sleepover to the Hubbards house.

When we got there they hooked me all up and the waiting game began. Tyler was on call the night before so he decided to take a nap before everything really got started.
MiMi was skyped in from California
About 7 hours later, Its a boy!! 9 lbs 10.5" Since we didn't know whether he was a boy or a girl, it was a fun surprise for everyone. All the nurses and Dr. Martin were all anxious to find out. It really was like the movies, when Dr. Martin yelled out its a boy! Everyone was smiling and so excited. Its a boy was soon followed by"Whoa he's a big baby" everyone was so surprised.
Even though we would have been excited either way, everyone was secretly pulling for a boy. Daddy had such a big smile on his face! I felt like he was a boy from the beginning but didn't know if it was because I was hoping for a boy or if it was that Mommy's intuition.
We had it narrowed down to Carter or Evan Richard for a boy or Natalie Lyn for a girl. A few minutes after he was born we decided on Carter Richard. Welcome to the world Carter!
Nanner showing MiMi her newest grand-baby.
I was so glad to finally have that sweet boy in my arms! Even though I've done it 3 times now, its no less exciting than the first, and just as scary. I am always nervously praying everything will go smoothly and we will have a healthy baby. And the Lord blessed us once again.
Once again we were truly blessed to have everything go so perfectly! The next day would be a little nerve wracking but for today everything was perfect! And the Lord has given us another healthy beautiful baby. I can't wait to see what He is in store for this sweet angel's life! I am beyond grateful that I can be a part of it. And so honored to be this beautiful boy's Mom. I love you little man!
