Mom's first weekend away

For my birthday, Tyler arranged, with help from my dad, for me to go to Dallas to watch LSU play, and beat, the Oregon ducks. I had a great time and was very glad Tyler arranged it all because I never would've gone without him making me. Meanwhile, Tyler had his first weekend alone with the kids. They had a great time. I was impressed he ventured out to the y, church, the park, and even an end of summer party.

This was the plane I took on my way to Dallas. I have to say I was a little nervous.

I didn't get any pictures of me, dad and Kathryn but here's a few I took throughout the day.

The signs and tailgates around Dallas were pretty creative.

It pretty much was a home game for LSU. And cowboy stadium was quite impressive.

I guess no drinking for me. I knew this but thanks for the reminder.

I had a great trip. It was fun to get away and visit with my dad and Kathryn. And of course cheer the Tigers on to a big win!
