Antee Family Surprise

Dianna has been in Busan, South Korea for a year and she was finally coming home. Her flight was into Lexington so the kids and I packed up and heading to surprise her at the airport. After months of trying to convince her we weren't coming, the Antee family surprise was in motion. The night before she was set to get in, she called and said she was delayed in Tokyo which was going to only leave her 40 minutes to get through customs, recheck her luggage and run through the Dallas airport to catch her flight to Lexington (Run Run Rudolph was playing in my head) . We were all sweating it because if she missed that flight she wouldn't be in until late that night which would mess up our plans. The kids and I loaded up early Sunday morning and hit the road waiting to hear if she made it on her plane. When we were about an hour and a half away, I got the call (huffing and puffing and completely out of breath) that she made it on her flight. Caleb and I let out a huge "whoo Doggy" and a sigh of relief. Our plan was back on as scheduled. After rain, an eventful Pizza Hut stop (my first official dinning out experience solo with the kids), forgetting to get gas, and one u-turn later, we arrived at the airport with 30 minutes to spare.
Caleb was hiding from Nanner waiting for her to come down the escalator.
OK so I don't get the award for cinematography but I was excited :)

All in all it was a great surprise. I think we actually played it well and pulled off the ultimate of Antee Family surprises.

On the drive home, Caleb got a little chocolate milk on his shirt and was trying to take it off. When you are driving you can't really help out much. So after a lot of yelling this is how Caleb made half of the trip. (I didn't realize what he was doing as I took the picture until after. Nice!)
Finally he gave up and was out, for at least a couple minutes
